I first heard about Creation Records when The Creation band briefly reformed in the 90’s. We played the Mean Fiddler in ’94, and that’s when I first met Alan McGee. It was then that I learned that he’d named his Record Company after our Band, and that he’d called his first band, Biff Bang Pow! after one of our songs. At that time, I was quite impressed by it all.

9th Creation was a 1970s R&B, funk band who had chart hits with "Why Not Today" and "Lets Dance".Other songs, such as "Falling in Love" made the charts. They recorded for a variety of labels including PYE/ATV, Prelude and Hilltak etc..
In February 1992 the band broke into the UK top 10 with "Leave Them All Behind", and the following month saw the release of the band's second album Going Blank Again. However, its followup, " Twisterella ", disappointed and barely scraped the top 40 despite extremely high expectations, and Creation stopped promoting the album as a result.

They released three studio albums, Kings of the Sun (1988), Full Frontal Attack (1990) and Resurrection (1993), before disbanding in 2001.
