She was the only child of English director Alfred Hitchcock and Alma Reville, and had small roles in several of his films, starting with Stage Fright (1950).
Patricia Alma Hitchcock O'Connell is an English actress and producer. She was born at 153 Cromwell Road in London on 7th July 1928, the only child of Alfred Hitchcock and Alma Reville . As a teenager, her first major acting role was in the John Van Druten play Solitaire, which opened on Broadway in New York in January 1942.

Leta 1939 se je družina preselila v Los Angeles, zatem pa je Pat Hitchcock nastopila najprej na odru, v broadwajskem muzikalu Violet, poroča Variety. V filmu Psihu je upodobila sodelavko Caroline, ki je glavni ženski vlogi Marion Crane ponudila svoja pomirjevala.
