  1. Hartt Music Education faculty members are experts in the field of music education, but are also respected performers and researchers. They have extensive public school teaching experience and are leaders in early childhood, choral and instrumental music education. Faculty are nationally recognized for their research, teaching, and publications.

The series is recognized as one of Connecticut's premier live music attractions, presenting four concerts annually, and is dedicated to bringing the widest possible range of distinguished small ensembles and recitalists to the UHart campus.

  6. 29. Juni 2024 · The school was begun by Julius Hartt and Moshe Paranov in 1920 and was one of the three founding institutions of the University of Hartford in 1957. Alongside the traditional performance-oriented majors in music, music theatre, theatre (actor training), and dance, the school offers programs in music history, music theory, music education, and composition.

  7. From that one youth orchestra, The Hartt School Community Division developed eight orchestras, three wind ensembles, and eight choirs. The Hartt School, along with the Community Division, merged with the University of Hartford in 1959.
