For many stubborn and ornery fans, however, the neanderthal technology employed on the “woolshed” album In The Pines (1987) was just what the Luddite doctor ordered. Everyone was blown away, however, by the stunning crowd noises on the surprisingly zesty contractual-filler live album Stockholm (1990).
An album which might best be described as contract filling, this rather poor recording for Swedish radio features David McComb mumbling in Swedish and a collection of songs that could have been improved by focussing on the hard hitting rock that the Triffids did so well in live performances.
