The Dark Knight Rises (TDKR) ist ein Meisterwerk voller Zitate und Querverweise, gekleidet in eine grandiose Bildsprache, die oft an die expressionistischen Stummfilme der 1920er Jahre wie Fritz Langs "Metropolis"(1927) erinnert. Der Film ist noch düsterer und verstörender als seine Vorgänger. Vor allem ist er noch ambitionierter und komplexer, aber bestimmt keinen Deut schlechter!
