Amazonで購入. Let the Snakes is hardly an album at all, but that's what makes it so essential. Each song contains only what it needs to get the emotion across and then it's all over. It might be possible to feel short changed if you don't pay attention, but spend a bit of time with it and it's tightness becomes a joy.
22. Dez. 2006 · "Let the Snakes Crinkle Their Heads to Death" is great. Totally charming in a perfectly Felt-y way. Martin Duffy's keyboards really shine on many of these tracks. It's only about 20 minutes long, so it's a really good album to eat lunch to. Give it a shot. Felt is a tragically under appreciated band. Give this and their other albums a listen ...

Let the Snakes Crinkle Their Heads to Death, also known as The Seventeenth Century on the 2018 remaster, is a weird album to talk about. Every song is instrumental, but without the contributions from Maurcie Deebank; he was gone after Felt's previous album, so don't expect a followup to The Splendour of Fear or songs similar to the instrumentals on The Strange Idols Pattern.
