1. Aug. 2022 · A meeting with the daughter and granddaughter of Polish pre-World War II Olympic medalist Maria Kwaśniewska-Maleszewska will be held at the Powszechny Theatre in Łódź, central Poland, on Saturday.
Maria Kwaśniewska ist auch die erste polnische Sportlerin, die für ihre Verdienste um die Olympischen Spiele den Olympischen Orden in Bronze erhielt (1978). 2003 wurde in der Ortschaft Spała eine nach ihr benannte Gedenkstätte des polnischen Sports (Park Pokoleń Mistrzów Sportu) eingerichtet.
