Oltre a The Alphbet Killer è stato realizzato precedentemente un ulteriore film ispirato a tali vicende: Wrong Turn – Il bosco ha fame del 2003. Il film è uscito a febbraio in America per poi essere presentato in anteprima al Berlin Film Festival il 7 febbraio e in seguito al Ravenna Nightmare Film Festival in Italia, uscendo direttamente in Dvd.
