Geoffrey Wilkinson (Springside (bij Todmorden, Yorkshire), 14 juli 1921 – Londen, 26 september 1996) was een Britse chemicus en winnaar van de Nobelprijs voor de Scheikunde in 1973. Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson Wilkinson shared the 1973 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with E. O. Fischer for pioneering work in organometallic chemistry. While at Harvard, Wilkinson (and Woodward independently) deduced the correct structure for biscyclopentadienyl iron, later to be known as ferrocene; this work opened up the entire field of metallocene chemistry.
