William Hogg (29 May 1879 – 30 January 1937) was an English footballer who played at outside right, winning the Football League championship with Sunderland in 1901–02, before moving to Scotland where he won the Scottish League title three times with Rangers. A year later, the group changed it's name to the Contours and in the autumn of 1960, the group auditioned for Berry Gordy's Motown Records , following a little assistance from Jackie Wilson .
