Better than Charles Swan III, at least, CQ is both a lot and not enough.. Almost perfectly on the mid-line between good and bad, CQ is multiple movies about movies all at once, sometimes a flimsy pretext to make a 1969/70-style sci-fi exploitation film and sometimes a commentary on studio vs. art, though it’s definitely deficient in regards to the latter.
