Cindy Sherman stellt unterschiedliche, stereotype Rollen, die sich durch den Film in der Gesellschaft verankert haben, auf ihren Untitled Film Stills dar, wobei jedes Bild eine neue Rolle zeigt. Ein Abzug der vollständigen Serie wurde im Dezember 1995 vom Museum of Modern Art für den Rekordpreis von über einer Million Dollar erworben und 1997 mit einer Einzelausstellung gewürdigt.
