After School Session is the debut studio album by rock and roll artist Chuck Berry, released in May 1957 by Chess Records. With the exception of two tracks, "Roly Poly" and "Berry Pickin'", all selections had been previously released on 45 rpm singles.

Rock ' N' Roll 50th Anniversary Edition. Piano on tracks 6, 8 & 13 is credited to Otis Spann OR Johnnie Johnson. Guitar on track 10 was PROBABLY played by Jimmy Rogers. Chorus on track 14 is credited to 'Band'.

Johnnie Clyde Johnson (July 8, 1924 – April 13, 2005) was an American pianist who played jazz, blues, and rock and roll. His work with Chuck Berry led to his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .
