Charles Felton Jarvis (November 15, 1934 – January 3, 1981) was an American record producer and singer. Career. As an RCA Victor record producer, Jarvis was responsible for most recordings of Elvis Presley in the years 1966–1977. He also released his own singles in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Hartford's producer on the original recording of "Gentle on My Mind", Felton Jarvis, co-produced Presley's album From Elvis in Memphis (1969) with Chips Moman. The recording of Hartford's song was the last number of Presley's January 14, 1969, session.
