On August 9, 1933, Foley married his second wife, Eva Alaine Overstake. Known during her solo career as Judy Martin, she was one of the Three Little Maids on National Barn Dance and a sister of country music songwriter Jenny Lou Carson. Red and Eva had three daughters. On November 17, 1951, Eva Foley died by suicide.
Together Again is an album of duets recorded by Kitty Wells and Red Foley that was released in 1967 on the Decca label (DL 4906). The album included three hit singles: hit singles "Happiness Means You", "Hello Number One", and "Living as Strangers".

Als Sänger trat er zusammen mit den Cumberland Ridge Runners auf. 1933 starb seine Ehefrau bei der Geburt des ersten Kindes. Er heiratete wenig später erneut. Seine Tochter aus dieser zweiten Ehe mit Judy Martin ist Shirley Lee Foley, die seit 1953 mit dem Sänger Pat Boone verheiratet ist. Deren gemeinsame Tochter ist Sängerin Debby Boone .
