Martina Helga Hellmann, geb. Opitz ist eine ehemalige deutsche Leichtathletin, die für die DDR startend 1988 Olympiasiegerin im Diskuswurf wurde. 1983 und 1987 wurde sie Weltmeisterin.
Martina Helga Hellmann (née Opitz; born 12 December 1960) is a retired German track and field athlete who represented East Germany. She was the Olympic champion in the discus throw at the 1988 Summer Olympics. She also won the World Championship in that event in 1983 and again in 1987.

Olympic Champion Martina Hellmann won the discus throw in 1988 for East Germany. In 1992, she started for the reunified German team but was eliminated in the qualifying round. In 1984 she was nominated but could not start due to the Soviet-led boycott of the Los Angeles Olympics.

Martina Hellmann lacht gern - und inzwischen auch geschäftlich. Seit acht Monaten ist die Diskus- Olympiasiegerin von 1988 Geschäftsführerin des Leipziger Kabaretts «academixer». Nach dem Sport hat die 40-Jährige nun auch ihr zweites Hobby zum Beruf gemacht.
