Die US-amerikanische Country-Rock-Band Flying Burrito Brothers wurde 1968 in Los Angeles von Gram Parsons und Chris Hillman gegründet. Den Namen hatte Parsons einer Formation um Ian Dunlop und Mickey Gauvin entliehen, die 1967–68 Konzerte im Umland von Los Angeles gegeben hatte.
Das Album schafft einen guten Überblick über die große Zeit der Flying Burrito Brothers. So ist das erste, und vielleicht auch beste Album der Burritos komplett drauf.
