El DeBarge is the debut album by El DeBarge. It was released in 1986 on Gordy Records (a sub-label of Motown) and featured the three hit singles, "Who's Johnny," which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Love Always," which reached #43, and "Someone," which was a Top 20 Billboard A/C hit and made it to #70 on the Hot 100. "Who's Holding Donna Now" is a 1985 hit single recorded by DeBarge for the Gordy label. It was their second consecutive Top 10 Pop hit in the U. S. after the release of " Rhythm of the Night ". After recording the successful dance single, the group returned to their more comfortable standard of ballads.

18. Mai 2008 · “Love Always” was another top ten R&B and Adult Contemporary hit for DeBarge. There were many big names appearing on the album including David Foster who tickled the ivories on two tracks – “Love Always” and the Graydon produced ballad “When Love Has Gone Away.”

The lead vocals are by El DeBarge, who is one of the DeBarge family members. David Foster wrote and produced the song with Jay Graydon and Randy Goodrum. Graydon also collaborated with Foster on Earth, Wind & Fire's "After The Love Has Gone" and Dionne Warwick's "Friends In Love."
