The Honeys (originally the Rovell Sisters) were an American girl group, formed in Los Angeles in 1958, that initially comprised sisters Marilyn, Diane, and Barbara Rovell. [2] . Barbara was later replaced by their cousin, Ginger Blake.

Blake, Ginger (1947 – Present) Background vocalist who started out as a member of The Honeys in the early ’60s. The Honeys were an all-girl, surf-rock group that grew out of The Rovells and were produced by Marilyn Rovell’s then-boyfriend and soon-to-be husband Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys .

During the mid 60s the group also recorded under the name Ginger and the Snaps ("Growing Up Is Hard To Do") with Blake featured on lead. By 1969, the music world had changed significantly, and the Honeys had also metamorphosed.
The Honeys. Having started out as The Rovell Sisters around 1958, in 1963 and 1964 The Honeys released a number of singles written, arranged, or produced by Brian Wilson. The Honeys' career faded as surfing music went out of vogue.
