12. Dez. 2008 · Xan McCurdy is the current lead Guitarist for the band CAKE and has been for the past six years. He joined in 1998 after Greg Brown left. McCrudy started working with CAKE on a record called Prolonging The Magic.
16. Sept. 2021 · Today, the band is made up of McCrea, DiFiore, Roper, guitarist Xan McCurdy and bassist Daniel McCallum, who joined in 2016.
One of them, Xan McCurdy, became his full-time replacement. On its opening week, Prolonging the Magic sold about 44,000 copies, debuting at No. 33 on the Billboard 200 chart. On 28 September 1999 the album was certified platinum by the RIAA for shipments of one million copies.
