The Walkabouts. The Walkabouts waren eine US-amerikanische Folk-Rock -Band aus Seattle. Die Band wurde 1984 gegründet und 2015 aufgelöst. Der Name wurde dem Film Walkabout entlehnt. Die Band ließ sich insbesondere von verschiedenen Vertretern der Folk- und Country-Musik inspirieren, insbesondere von Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young und Johnny Cash.
