26. Juli 2023 · The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band offered a carte blanche alternative to the staid practises of trad jazz. Theirs was a feverish world that drew from the improv of Commedia dell’Arte, pre-war jazz, music hall, the Dada movement and the avant-garde; a theatre of the absurd played out by unruly art-school pranksters.
