15. Dez. 2009 · John “Sean” Byrne. November 16, 1947 – December 15, 2008. John Byrne is best remembered as the lead guitarist for ’60s garage rock band, the Count Five, who, although from the San Francisco area, chose its name to sound more akin to the popular British invasion bands of the time.
The Irish singer and guitarist John “Sean” Byrne, a student at San Jose City College, wrote “Psychotic Reaction.” The inspiration for the song’s title came to Byrne while attending a health class, reflecting the mental turmoil caused by heartbreak. Initially, the song did not gain much traction on the charts.
