Carlisle dropped out when she came down with mononucleosis and never played a live show with the group. She was replaced as drummer by Becky Barton, redubbed Donna Rhia.
Jan Paul comes up with pseudonyms for the members: Georg becomes Pat Smear, Terri becomes Lorna Doom, and Becky becomes Donna Rhia. Jan Paul renames himself Bobby Pyn, but soon changes this to Darby Crash. Becky is soon kicked out and the band goes through a series of replacements.
28. März 2023 · With Becky Barton, also known as Donna Rhia, the new band now known as Germs recorded their debut single in 1977, "Forming". The song was recorded in Pat Smear's garage and released on What? Records, and represented the first punk song of the Los Angeles scene.
Carlisle went on to fame and fortune as lead vocalist of The Go-Go's and as an even more successful solo artist. She was quickly replaced with Becky Barton (aka Donna Rhia), who played three gigs with the group and recorded with them on their debut single, 1977's " Forming."
