Career. The band was formed in 1994 by Tom Watkins, who had managed the Pet Shop Boys, 2wo Third3, Bros and East 17; and Kelly O'Keefe who was doing work experience in his office. He admired her distinctive vocals, style and kitsch sensibility, and they decided to put together a boy/girl band with O'Keefe as lead vocalist.

Deuce. The band was formed in 1994 by Tom Watkins, a hugely successful manager and promoter of bands such as the Pet Shop Boys, and the head of East 17, 2wo/3rds, and Bros. He invited Kelly O’Keefe, who was doing an internship in his office, because he admired her distinctive vocals, style and sense of kitsch.
They were very similar to Steps but their singles had a slightly more credible club vibe to them. Kelly O’Keefe was the heart of this operation. A work experience placement with Massive Management mogul Tom Watkins, former manager to Bros and East 17, gave her the opportunity to put the band together.
