Nathan Kipner (October 2, 1924 – December 1, 2009) was an American songwriter and record producer with a considerable career in Australia. He is remembered as the producer of the Bee Gees ' first hit "Spicks and Specks". He was the father of Steve Kipner who is also a songwriter and music producer.

Zu Beginn des Jahres 1966 hatten die Bee Gees einen neuen Plattenvertrag mit Spin Records, dem Label des Produzenten Nat Kipner. Kipner schickte die Brüder zu seinem Freund Ossie Byrne, der in Hurstville das St. Clair Studio betrieb.

History. Spin Records was established in late 1966 by Clyde Packer, the elder son of publishing and broadcasting magnate Frank Packer, and the older brother of Kerry Packer. The label's first A&R manager was Nat Kipner (the father of musician-songwriter-producer Steve Kipner ), who produced several early Spin releases.
