In Thrall is the debut solo studio album by American musician Murray Attaway, released in 1993. Geffen Records sent 40,000 free copies to retailers as a promotional effort. Attaway supported the album by touring with Robyn Hitchcock. Attaway recorded a second album for Geffen that the company declined to release.
Attaway is unerringly intelligent, spiritual, cluttered with conviction, and In Thrall finds him in mid-lecture, which would be fine if half of us weren’t still thumbing through the syllabus because we missed the first semester.

Aimee Mann is an American singer-songwriter who has released several albums since the early 1980s. Originally, she worked in collaboration with The Young Snakes and 'Til Tuesday, before becoming a solo artist. In 2013, she and Ted Leo began performing as a duo called The Both .
Aimee Elizabeth Mann (born September 8, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter. Over the course of four decades, she has released more than a dozen albums as a solo artist and with other musicians. She is noted for her sardonic and literate lyrics about dark subjects.
10. Feb. 2007 · In Thrall has quality songwriting, a detailed and unique production, an impressive list of guest musicians (Jackson Browne and Aimee Mann to name a few), and was met with critical acclaim upon its release. Yet, no one remembers it. It's not even available anywhere digitally. Why?
