1. November 1974. Fly to the Rainbow ist das zweite Studio-Album der deutschen Hard-Rock-Band Scorpions, das Ende des Jahres 1974 veröffentlicht wurde. Es ist das erste von der Band selbst produzierte Album und wurde nur mit zwei Bandmitgliedern des Vorgängeralbums Lonesome Crow (Klaus Meine und Rudolf Schenker) eingespielt.
At the end of the tour, Scorpions lead guitarist Michael Schenker was asked to fill an open position as UFO's guitarist and accepted the position. Schenker's departure temporarily resulted in the breakup of the band but Rudolf Schenker and Klaus Meine ultimately merged with the band Dawn Road.

It is the band's only album with lead guitarist Michael Schenker – just 16 at the time of the recording – as a full-time member. He soon left to join UFO and was replaced by Ulrich Roth. Schenker would, however, rejoin briefly during the recording and touring of 1979's Lovedrive.
Fly to the Rainbow (1974) In 1972 Michael Schenker was asked to join the British psychedelic Rock Band UFO. Michael was 17 at the time. He was eager to get out of Germany where the art of lead guitar and the music Michael loved to play was not really being understood. He was hoping to find a more enthusiastic audience in the U.K.
Dies änderte sich bereits beim Nachfolger Fly to the Rainbow (1974). Lonesome Crow ist die einzige Scheibe der Band, auf der die Autorenschaft für alle Lieder übereinstimmt. Bei allen sieben Songs waren die beiden Schenker-Brüder für die Musik und die übrigen drei Bandmitglieder für das Schreiben der Texte verantwortlich.
