Songs of Faith & Inspiration is the second album by American recording gospel/soul female group the Sweet Inspirations, released in the U.S. on Atlantic Records in 1968. The album is the follow-up to the group's self-titled debut The Sweet Inspirations, and the sound is predominantly centered in the gospel genre. [1]
Within a month of their chart climb, the group began work on their second album – a gospel record entitled Songs Of Faith & Inspiration. It was released in 1968 under the name "Cissy Drinkard & The Sweet Inspirations."
The Sweet Inspirations sind eine US-amerikanische Gesangsgruppe, die 1967 ihre ersten Schallplatten aufnahm. Zu jener Zeit bestand die Gruppe aus Cissy Houston, Estelle Brown, Myrna Smith und Sylvia Shemwell. International bekannt wurde sie vor allem durch ihre Zusammenarbeit mit Elvis Presley.
