Bandgeschichte. Die Gruppe entstand Anfang der 60er-Jahre in London als Shel Carson Combo. Neben Gründer Shel Shapiro waren die Mitglieder Bobby Posner, Johnny Charlton und Mike Shepstone. 1963 wurde die Gruppe in Hamburg als Begleitband von Colin Hicks für eine Italientournee verpflichtet, nun unter dem Namen The Cabin Boys.
Il gruppo si forma nel Regno Unito nel 1960 con il nome "Shel Carson Combo", con Shel Shapiro alla voce e alla chitarra, Robert 'Bobby' Posner al basso, Mike Shepstone alla batteria e Vic Briggs (che poi entrerà negli Animals) [1] alla chitarra solista, in seguito sostituito da Johnny Charlton.
