Slovenský režisér a scenárista. Vyštudoval réžiu hraného filmu na FAMU. Pracoval v Slovenskej televízii i v Slovenskej filmovej tvorbe Bratislava v ateliéroch na Kolibe. V súčasnosti vyučuje na katedre réžie na VŠMU v Bratislave. V jeho tvorbe prevládajú adaptácie diel klasickej literatúry a rozprávky.

Vyštudoval réžiu na FAMU v Prahe (1968 - 1973). V roku 1974 bol režisér Krátkeho filmu, od 1975 Československej televízie v Bratislave, od roku 1985 Slovenskej filmovej tvorby.
