John Anthony Panozzo (September 20, 1948 – July 16, 1996) was an American drummer best known for his work with rock band Styx.

Die langjährigen Mitglieder Dennis DeYoung (Gesang, Tasteninstrumente) sowie als Rhythmusgruppe die Brüder Chuck und John Panozzo waren bereits in dieser Formation dabei. Als TW4 trat die Gruppe bald darauf mit den Gitarristen James Young (J. Y.) und John Curulewski auf.
In August 1961, at 12 years of age, twin brothers Chuck (guitar) and John Panozzo (drums) first played music together with their 14-year-old neighbor Dennis DeYoung who played accordion and sang, while living in the Roseland, Chicago area, eventually using the band name The Tradewinds.
