Chileab ( Hebrew: כִלְאָב, Ḵīləʾāḇ) also known as Daniel, was the second son of David, King of Israel, according to the Bible. He was David's son with his second wife Abigail, widow of Nabal the Carmelite, and is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 3:1, and 2 Samuel 3:3.

CHILEAB kĭl’ ĕ ăb (כִּלְאָ֔ב). David’s second son born at Hebron, his first by Abigail ; also called Daniel (1 Chron 3:1). The LXX has Δαλουιά, in 2 Samuel 3:3, and since in Heb. the last three letters of Chileab are the same as the first three of the following word, the text may be corrupt; Daniel may be correct.
