Mike Seeger was a founder member of the New Lost City Ramblers, starting the group with John Cohen and Tom Paley in 1958. He appears on all NLCR recordings. Away from the NLCR Mike Seeger made a number of other solo and group recordings and appeared on other albums as a guest.
8. Aug. 2009 · He sought out undiscovered or disappeared musicians in Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina — including Dock Boggs. Seeger died Friday at 75.
