Seán Potts (* 5. Oktober 1930 in Dublin; † 11. Februar 2014 ebenda) war ein irischer Musiker . Seán Potts wurde in einer Musikerfamilie groß: sein Onkel war der berühmte Geiger Tommy Potts. Seán Desmond Potts (5 October 1930 – 11 February 2014) was an Irish musician. Born in The Liberties, Dublin, he was best known for his tin whistle playing and his long history with The Chieftains (from 1962 to 1979).
A master whistle player like Moloney, they often collaborated on arrangements, playing in clubs and sessions around Dublin. Seán was a member of Ceoltóirí Cualann and went on to become one of the founding members of The Chieftains in 1962.
