Smiddyburn is a 1981 folk album recorded by Dave Swarbrick and named after the farm in Aberdeenshire where Swarbrick lived at the time. The tracks are mostly renditions of traditional folk tunes , and Swarbrick is assisted by his erstwhile colleagues from Fairport Convention as well as his early mentor, Beryl Marriott .

This CD combines Dave Swarbrick's third and fourth solo albums, both recorded in 1981 and originally released on the Logo label, the successor to Transatlantic. Comes with an 8 page booklet insert with September 1995 liner notes from Swarb on page 3 when he resided in The Blue Mountains in NSW, Australia. Made in Australia.
