Every year, the Company carries out an official visitation to check on progress at the school; and every year Colfes pupils visit the Leathersellers’ Hall to learn about the long history of the school and the Company. Below is a time line of the school’s history from the 14th century to today.

  7. Head’s Welcome. Colfes is one of the oldest schools in London, established by our founder Abraham Colfe back in 1652. Our links with the Leathersellers’ City Livery Company – who have governed the school since then – still remain strong today.
