   Street Lab was founded in 2006 in Boston, where co-founders Leslie and Sam Davol created various pop-up programs and amenities for neighborhoods, including a film series called Films at the Gate and the Storefront Library. In 2011 they launched the Uni Project, an effort focused on pop-up reading rooms, and moved the organization to NYC.
