The Beta Band war eine schottische Rockband, die ihren Stil selbst als Folktronica bezeichnete und von 1996 bis 2004 existierte. Charakteristisch für die Band war eine Mischung aus Folk, Rock, Trip-Hop, Electronica und hemmungslos experimentellem Jammen.
Two further EPs followed in 1998 produced by Chris Allison and the band: The Patty Patty Sound in March and Los Amigos del Beta Bandidos in July. All three EPs received critical praise, [2] and all three appeared on the appropriately titled The Three E.P.'s collection in September 1998.
