He has played with Little River Band (1975), Tidewater (1976), Goanna (1982–83) and numerous other Australian bands. [1] Davidge was chosen as the original lead guitarist for Little River Band.
In 2022, Shane Howard, Rose Bygrave, Marcia Howard and Graham Davidge, together with special guests, embark on a new journey, paying homage to their classic songs and reigniting the Goanna spirit once more.
Little River Band formed in March 1975 in Melbourne as a harmony rock group with Beeb Birtles on guitar and vocals, Graham Davidge on lead guitar, Graeham Goble on guitar and vocals, Dave Orams on bass guitar, Derek Pellicci on drums and Glenn Shorrock on lead vocals.
By 1981 the band was now Shane Howard, Rose Bygrave, Warrick Harwood, Peter 'Brolga' Coughlan on bass guitar, Marcia Howard (vocalist & synthesisers), Graham Davidge (electric guitar) and Robbie Ross on drums. They had shortened the name to Goanna.
Graham Davidge was the original lead guitarist for the Little River Band when they formed in 1975. His tenure was brief, as he was part of the band’s initial lineup only during its formative months. Davidge’s guitar work contributed to the early sound and style that helped establish the band before he was replaced later that same year.
