Compagnia Generale del Disco ( CGD) was an Italian record label. History. CGD was founded in 1948 by singer Teddy Reno. At that time it was established in Milan in Via Passarella 4. As artistic director Reno called fellow musician Lelio Luttazzi, who replaced David Matalon as Head of International Production in 1956.
La CGD (sigla di Compagnia Generale del Disco) è stata una casa discografica italiana attiva tra il 1948 e il 1988 e utilizzata come marchio fino al 2004. Dai primi anni novanta il marchio è cambiato in CGD East West, usato da Warner Music Italy.
