Registration and Admissions Procedure for Years 7-11. The normal age for entry to Salesian College is 11. Boys may be admitted at other times provided that a vacancy exists. Parents or guardians may register their sons at any time but no later than 15 November in the year before intended entry.
St John Bosco College is a school in the joint trusteeship of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark and the Salesians of Don Bosco. With the Sacred Heart Parish Church and the Salesian Community House next door, we are very much part of the Salesian mission in Battersea and beyond.
At Salesian College the staff are dedicated to the academic, cultural, spiritual, physical and emotional development of each student. It is hoped to achieve this through the Preventive System based on the principles of reason, religion and kindness.
School History. Whilst St John Bosco College (SJBC) only opened in September 2011, there has been a rich tradition of Catholic Education on the site in Battersea since the opening of Salesian College in 1895. SJBC was formed after Salesian College and John Paul II School closed in 2011.
