“ Tear down this wall! ” (deutsch: „Reißen Sie diese Mauer nieder!“) ist eine Zeile aus einer Rede von US-Präsident Ronald Reagan in West-Berlin am 12. Juni 1987, welche den Regierungschef der Sowjetunion, Michail Gorbatschow, dazu aufforderte, die Berliner Mauer zu öffnen, die seit August 1961 West- und Ost-Berlin teilte. [1]
The speech is commonly known by a key line from the middle part: "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall! " Reagan called for the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union , Mikhail Gorbachev , to open the Berlin Wall , which had encircled West Berlin since 1961.
