  1. Alta Rockefeller Prentice (April 12, 1871 – June 21, 1962) was an American philanthropist and socialite, daughter of Standard Oil co-founder John D. Rockefeller.

  2. Alta was the third daughter of John D. Rockefeller and his wife Laura. She married Colonel Ezra Prentice, a Chicago attorney, in 1901 and was buried in Dellwood Cemetery in Vermont.
