Years active. 1960s–present. Harold HUnter aka Stemziel "Stemsy" Hunter [1] is an American saxophonist and vocalist. [2] [3] During the 1960s, he was a member of The Electric Flag. [3] He has also played on recordings by Buddy Miles, as well as being a member of Miles's band.

In the 1950s, Rich was a member of The 7-Wonders, a group that included his family members. Around 1964, he formed the Omaha group, The New Breed. Members included Stemsy Hunter, Hoshal Wright, Jerry Bennett, Hank Redd and Curly Martin and Jerry Bennett. [2]

Stemsy Hunter. The Electric Flag, formed in 1967, was a blues rock soul group that consisted of guitarist Mike Bloomfield, drummer/vocalist Buddy Miles, vocalist Nick Gravenites, keyboardist Barry Goldberg, and bassist Harvey Brooks. Bloomfield formed Electric Flag after his stint with The Butterfield Blues Band.
