Following the loss of both Mitch Margo in 2017 and his brother Phil Margo in 2021, Phil's son, Noah, felt it paramount to continue to celebrate the great music created by his father and his uncle. With this new configuration Noah honors their legacy while keeping it in the family.
Noah Margo, president of the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education, spent more than three decades touring with his father and uncle, original members of the doo wop band The Tokens. When Margo took the stage for the Concerts on Cañon music series on Aug. 17, he was keeping alive a musical legacy spanning three generations.
Finally establishing its most famous name and line-up, the group became known as the Tokens in 1960 after recruiting the 13-year-old multi-instrumentalist and first tenor Mitch Margo and his baritone brother Philip "Phil" Margo.
Noah Margo (Drums, Vocals) Noah toured with THE TOKENS since 1993. He is a playwright, a children's author, and a handyman. He has taught elementary school and also currently serves as a governing board member for the Beverly Hills Unified School District. He is only the third person in California history to win a write-in campaign.
