Am 12. Juli 2022 bestätigte SRG SSR die Teilnahme am Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Gleichzeitig bestätigte die Rundfunkgesellschaft damit, dass auch 2023 wieder eine interne Auswahl stattfinden werde. Dafür werde das gleiche System angewendet, welches die Schweiz seit 2019 nutze. Vom 25. August bis zum 8.

Der 67. ESC fand in Liverpool statt. Schweden und Loreen haben den ESC 2023 mit dem Song "Tattoo" gewonnen. Damit setzte sich die Siegerin des ESC 2012 erneut durch.
