Much unlike Melvin's later Night Food project with Pastorius and Bob Weir (released in 1988), Night Food is a mostly instrumental, rocking, jazz fusion affair; nothing light here. Guitarist Paul Mousavi 's (Mousavizadeh) input is more integral to this recording than on other Melvin releases.

10. Feb. 2007 · Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead does a good job singing over a reggae-flavored rendition of the jazz standard "Fever." "CIA" is a catchy instrumental with a tasty guitar solo at the end performed by a guitarist named Paul Mousavi.
