The Disconnection is the second album by Carina Round. It was released in October 2003. The album was released in the UK with a cover shot by Anoushka Fisz (wife of Dave Stewart from Eurythmics who supported her since), then released in 2004 with a different, less disturbing cover photo, on Interscope Records in the US.

Die beiden ersten Alben The First Blood Mystery und The Disconnection entstanden in England, während Carina Round im Jahr 2005 nach L.A. zog, um mit Glen Ballard Slow Motion Addict unter dem Major Label Interscope zu produzieren.
Round promoted The Disconnection with a tour of the UK in late 2003, and another tour in January 2004. This was followed by a month-long tour of the US before returning to the UK for another tour with Damien Dempsey and James Blunt.
