30. Aug. 2021 · Randy left Poco just prior to the release of the first album, Pickin’ Up the Pieces. That album was released May 19, 1969. The original members of Randy Meisner, Rusty Young, Richie Furay, Jim Messina, and George Grantham then reunited in 1989 for the Legacy tour and album.
Meisner ist auf der ersten Platte von Poco, Pickin’ Up the Pieces, zu hören, wurde aber nach Unstimmigkeiten mit den anderen Musikern aus der Band geworfen. Er stieg daraufhin bei Ricky Nelson und seiner Stone Canyon Band ein, mit denen er erste große Erfolge feierte.
